Arthur Conan Doyle

Arthur Conan Doyle was a British writer and physician, best known for creating the iconic detective character Sherlock Holmes. Born on May 22, 1859, in Edinburgh, Scotland, Doyle's literary contributions spanned a variety of genres, including science fiction, historical novels, and adventure stories. While practicing as a doctor, he began writing and achieved success with "A Study in Scarlet," the first of many Sherlock Holmes tales.
