Anne Frank

Anne Frank was a Jewish girl born in Germany on June 12, 1929, who later moved to Amsterdam with her family to escape Nazi persecution. During World War II, she went into hiding in a secret annex for two years with her family and others. While in hiding, Anne kept a detailed diary, documenting her thoughts, experiences, and the daily realities of life during the Holocaust. Her diary, published posthumously as "The Diary of a Young Girl," has become one of the most important firsthand accounts of the Holocaust.
