Roald Amundsen

Roald Amundsen was a renowned Norwegian explorer known for his significant contributions to polar expeditions in the early 20th century. He led the first successful expedition to the South Pole in December 1911, showcasing his exceptional skills in polar navigation and exploration. Amundsen was also the first to navigate the Northwest Passage between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans from 1903 to 1906.
