Friedrich Nietzsche was a 19th-century German philosopher renowned for his profound influence on modern intellectual history. He is best known for his critiques of traditional European morality and religion, famously declaring that "God is dead," and for his concept of the Übermensch, or "Superman." Nietzsche's philosophy emphasized the importance of individual creativity and strength in overcoming conventional societal norms. His works, including "Thus Spoke Zarathustra" and "Beyond Good and Evil," challenge readers to question established values and embrace the chaos and complexity of existence. Despite health struggles and early death, Nietzsche's ideas have endured, impacting existentialism, postmodernism, and various arts and cultures.
