SØREN
KIERKEGAARD

Søren Kierkegaard was a Danish philosopher, theologian, poet, and social critic born in 1813, widely regarded as the father of existentialism. His work primarily focused on exploring themes such as faith, individuality, and the nature of existence, often critiquing the established norms of Christianity and Hegelian philosophy of his time. Kierkegaard's writing style was unique, often using pseudonyms to present different viewpoints in his exploration of complex philosophical ideas. Among his most notable works are "Fear and Trembling" and "Either/Or," where he delves into the concepts of choice, commitment, and the subjective experience of reality. Though not widely recognized during his lifetime, Kierkegaard's influence has grown significantly, impacting modern existentialist thought and theology.
